BIO

Dr Kelsey M. Lowe is an archaeological geophysicist and geoarchaeologist specialising in geospatial technologies and geographic information systems (GIS). She received her Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology) from Minnesota State University Moorhead, USA in 2003, her Master of Arts (Anthropology) from the University of Mississippi, USA in 2005, and her PhD (Archaeology) in 2014 from the University of Queensland, Australia.

She is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, Director of Kelsey M. Lowe and a Principal Program Officer with the Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnership, Communication and Arts. Her research focuses on developing techniques that assist in understanding past human behavior, cultural landscapes and heritage conservation in Australia. However, she also works in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Indonesia, Myanmar, North America and Papua New Guinea.
