Final Meeting 10 (18-20 April 2023, Trondheim, Norway)
Call for Participation
The final meeting of the COST Action SAGA - The Soil science & Archaeo-Geophysics Alliance will be held in Trondheim, Norway, from 18th until 20th April 2023 and hosted by the Department of Archaeology & Cultural History, NTNU University Museum, Norwegian University of Science & Technology (NTNU). This will be the last activity of our interdisciplinary network project funded by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). This meeting will comprise a scientific activity (SAGA Workshop 2 from the 18th until 19th April 2023) as well as the final Joint Working Groups and Management Committee meetings.
The SAGA Workshop 2 aims to reflect on the different activities that have been carried out as part of the action (e.g. Short Term Scientific Missions or STSM, Inclusiveness Target Countries Conference Grants or ITC CG, Training Schools, etc) as well as to present the results of related case studies or new projects. Throughout the workshop, participants will highlight their experiences and results of integrated studies, combining geophysics and soil science.
Topics:
1. Integrated approaches to archaeology that combine geophysics and soil science
2. Modelling archaeological environments and geophysical responses
3. Multivariate proxy data analysis
4. Training Schools experiences and outputs
5. Presentation of new projects
We would like to invite you to attend this workshop by presenting your work in the form of an oral or poster presentation. Abstracts should be submitted by 15 February 2023 here: https://www.saga-cost.eu/meeting-abstract-submission.php?id_meeting=10. Abstract
should not exceed 500 words (but 300 is recommended) and can include a max. 2
Figures, 1 Table, Acknowledgments and Reference list. All contributions submitted will be subject to a peer review process, and acceptance is based on the evaluation of the quality, originality, and relevance of the contribution.
The workshop is completely free of charge and is open to SAGA members and non-members. We particular encourage our STSM and ITC CG grantees to join us in this final event.
Depending on the preferences of our contributors, full papers may be published, free of charge, in Open Research Europe (ORE). This is a peer-reviewed publishing platform that provides fast publication and open peer review for research stemming from Horizon Europe, including COST Actions.
