How to get to Rethymno (Crete, Greece)
By air
The island of Crete has two significant airports,
Nikos Kazantzakis airport at Heraklion (Greek website
here) and
Daskalogiannis airport at Chania that serve international and national flights. A third and smaller one is located on the eastern side of Crete at Sitia.
By sea
The island is also served by ferries mainly from Pireus-Athens with ferry companies such as
Minoan Lines,
ANEK Lines and
Blue Star Ferries.
